How the Internet and Technology Benefit Conglomerates
Relevant Matter Discussed in Class #2

Okay, everyone, let's talk about Google. Google, massive Google, Google that gives us everything. If the internet did not exist, google would not exist, and the most popular search engine known to man would not be able to provide us with infinite sources and types of media. Google is a perfect example of a conglomerate that benefits and functions largely from the internet.
For example, I'm using a Google service right now. Blogger is owned by Google. Google also provides document, slideshow, form, spreadsheet, and other types of mediums. Google reaches virtually all sorts of media.
Every day, I use Youtube Music (owned by Google) while I read Google News and have countless Google tabs open, running in the background on my phone. As I indulge in cool media, I am also obtaining information from Google News' hot media.
My point here is that, if the internet did not exist, Google would make no money.
What about Google phones and the cool Google glasses, you ask?
Those function off of the internet, too. Everything with Google runs off WiFi connection and internet.
With the internet, we are provided with instantaneous mass communication. With the tap of an employee's finger somewhere, a virtual newspaper falls into our lap. The thought is kind of scary, how much we rely on it. A world without Google is an impossible one to the modern student.
This is why we should remain well-versed in navigating tangible newspapers and books, while also having a good knowledge of how technology works as well.
The internet and technology has a direct relationship with the success of mass-communicating conglomerates like Google, and this is why more and more business people are heading in the direction of online-based business. I do not doubt that, by the time I am forty, even grocery shopping will be done entirely online.
